Alta Vista

Description

Farther down the coastline from the bustling Old Town and village, is the multi-storied Alta Vista; each suite has its own stunning views, again nestled in the hillside above the beloved Bay of Banderas, where clean beaches and rocky outcrops remind you that you hover above one of the most beautiful bays in the world.

Featuring a fascinating resident Iguana (admire but beware) on the white entry wall, as usual, our capable receptionists and staff can point out the spots to visit, whether it be for zip-lining over the river (courage required), sport fishing, or strolling the Malecón where the central bandstand bursts into musical life as youngsters stroll about, hand-in-hand. If seclusion (plus visits to the famous Puerto Vallarta hotspots) is your idea of a really exotic vacation, then this is the place for you.

In reality, as attractive as your suite is, with the views and leisurely living, you will be hard-pressed to drag yourself away to the myriad attractions of this famous resort. And speaking of iguanas, this area was the site for the famous filming of “Night of the Iguanas”, with Ava Gardner, Richard Burton in toe with Elizabeth Taylor, who even

Coral Mar

Description

It’s hard to believe that Cancun was developed just in the last century from nothing, except pristine white sands and glorious warm water, and nowadays has become one of the most coveted sites in the world for vacationing. Those white sand beaches, and warm turquoise water are certainly the crux of the appeal.

Coral Mar is unique, sited on the inland bay, the Nichupte Lagoon, with a mini beach with palapas, views over to the super-developed coast, yet with a unique exclusivity about it. Of course, there is a swimming pool, multiple spacious suites, all with a terrace, a practical provisions’ shop, travel agency and taxis waiting to ferry you anywhere.
The “Palapa” styled poolside restaurant Laguna Bar & Grill — is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner – all-day happy hour and great Margaritas, caipirinhas, mojitos, etc.

The Coral Mar resort area claims not only nearby archeological sites, but most visitors are drawn to Mayan cities at Chichen Itza, Tulum, and Coba. So although ancient history abounds, you have a pleasant retreat from the frenzy of the beachfront, and lack nothing, including a splendid golf course, which literally is a short walk up

Conchas Chinas

Description

Puerto Vallarta is a city of romance and history — a fairy-tale like former fishing village with cobblestone streets, whitewashed houses with red-tiled roofs. For hillside lovers in need of a spectacular view, Conchas Chinas is the spot for you, nestled in an exclusive hillside, slightly away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but with easy access to all that’s exciting surrounding the picturesque Bay of Banderas.

The pleasant swimming pool and obligatory hillside/ocean-view terraces are entrancing spots to dawdle, read, write, snooze or let your body soak in the fragrant flowers and ocean breezes. A walk downward (upward is a different story, although many guests take the trek quite often), are the beachfront restaurants, right on the wave-washed shore, or visit the center of Old Town — just a short drive (or taxi-ride) away.

As usual, our capable receptionists and staff can highlight the spots to visit, whether it be for zip-lining over the river (courage required), sport fishing, or strolling the Malecón where the central bandstand bursts into live musical life as youngsters stroll about, hand-in-hand. Enchanting.
