Pet World owner Scott Miller said it all began with a phone call.
“Pennsylvania has a goofy law about not importing monkeys from state to state, and the family that owned the three lemurs was moving to West Virginia,” he said. “I was told if I didn’t take them, they would be put down.”
Mr. Miller admitted Pet World wasn’t at the top of the lemur owners’ list.
“They called around, and no one else wanted them,” he said. “We were probably pretty far down the list.”
