The Sims 4 Mod: All Worlds are Residential





This mod turns Destination Worlds - Granite Falls, Selvadorada and Batuu - into Residential worlds, which allows Sims to live in them* and freely travel between them.


*In order to move into one of those worlds, you will need a venue mod, such as Venue Changes, to be able to set lot types to Residential. Moving into Batuu is not possible because of how the world works differently from other worlds.

Even without a venue mod, this mod will still allow your Sims to freely travel between those worlds.

Known Issues


Because of how the UI is coded, you can’t access the world select screen while a Sim is in Batuu, even with this mod installed. To travel out of Batuu, you’ll need to click the “Go Home” button in the Sim viewer. This only effects Batuu, not the other worlds.


Known Conflicts

This will conflict with any mod that modifies the UI tuning SimData file (545AC67A-006CA304-4AD169DBEC547AEA). This is unlikely to happen as there are very few other reasons to modify that file.

The Sims 4 Mod: All Worlds are Residential





This mod turns the Destination Worlds - Granite Falls, Selvadorada and Batuu** into Residential Worlds that your Sims can freely travel to and live in*.



*In order to move a household into Granite Falls or Selvadorada, you’ll also need my Venue Changes mod which unlocks the “Residential” lot type in all worlds. You’ll still be able to freely travel to those worlds without Venue Changes, just not live in them.



**It’s not possible to move to or change lot types in Batuu as doing so breaks the world’s UI, so this mod will only let you travel to and from Batuu. Also, there is a bug with traveling away from Batuu (see Known Issues).




Patch 1.68 Updates




This page used to be a list of individual mods that would let you change the world type of each world from Destination to Residential or from Residential to Destination. Patch 1.16 changed the way the world select screen works, so it’s no longer possible to change just certain worlds with multiple mods. This shouldn’t be a problem, because if you don’t want to visit certain worlds without renting lots, you can just keep yourself from doing so.

The Sims 4 Mods: World Type Changes (Destination to Residential or vice-versa)

By popular demand, I’ve recreated my World Type Changes mods, which turn a Destination World into a Residential World or vice-versa. You can have your Sims live in Selvadorada, or make Windenburg a destination your Sims need to travel to!


IMPORTANT! You will need my Venue Changes mod to be able to set lots to Residential or Rental (depending on which type the world originally was).
 While it’s possible to move into a Rental lot or rent a Residential lot, doing so might cause unwanted glitches.

Note: I’ve also updated Venue Changes to work in Selvadorada. If you have an older version, please re-download if you need the update.
