Gluten Free Churros (A Disney Copycat Recipe)
If you can't make it to Disney World for their gluten free churros, you can make them at home. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, they're the perfect sweet snack 😋

I have a confession to make. I've never had the gluten free churros at Nomad's Lounge in Animal Kingdom! I know, I know. It's super sad, isn't it? The last time I was there (in January) I vowed to have them, but with the new Genie + system, we didn't have time to stop. Have y'all been to Disney since they've implemented Genie+? IMO, it's horrible! I really can't stand it. If they want us to pay for fast passes, fine. But I don't see why they couldn't just keep the same old system and make people pay for it if that's what they must do.

I had one thing on my list that I HAD to do on our last trip to Walt Disney World – try gluten free churros! YES there are gluten free churros at Walt Disney World and they aren’t just for gluten free people either. We attended the Disney Social Media Moms Conference this year sponsored by Disney. They had lots of great events and special activities planned for us, but I had a plan of my own. CHURROS!
I even made a t-shirt for the occasion (but ended up going early to try churros so I wasn’t even wearing the shirt on the day I first tried them).
The ONLY place you can get these (as of right now) is at Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom.

The churros are served with a vanilla crema and strawberry chili sauce and both were really good!
Nomad Lounge is my husband and my new favorite spot in all of Walt Disney World, we relaxed in the lounge twice this last trip and honestly, I would have gone again if our schedule wasn’t already pack

After going gluten free, one of the things I missed the most was a soft sugary pastry. There’s nothing like fresh baked goods, and while the frozen gluten free section is a good substitute, it doesn’t compare to the real thing!

Are Disney Churros Gluten-Free?
There are two locations for Gluten Free Churros at Disney World (both table service restaurants). One is inside the Animal Kingdom and the other at a resort. The churros you find at the churros stands cannot be made gluten free.
Where to find Gluten Free Churros at Disney World
Find Gluten Free Churros inside Animal Kingdom at Nomad Lounge Table Service Restaurant. You can order them togo from the bar, sit at the bar, or get a table with a reservation.
